Alpha privacy and support
HFOPiano is a browser-local pack musical interface. This page is plain-language alpha feedback copy, not a final legal policy.
Camera privacy
HFOPiano uses your device camera to estimate hand landmarks in the browser. In the Omega v512 path, camera frames are not intentionally uploaded to HFO servers by the app.
The site may still load static app files, MediaPipe model assets, Web Awesome components, and instrument assets. Normal hosting logs may record ordinary web requests for those static files.
Permissions
- Camera is required for hand tracking.
- Audio starts from the same user gesture that begins the app.
- MIDI is experimental and browser-dependent; it is not required for the core piano path.
- HFOPiano does not claim trusted OS keyboard input or operating-system control.
Support
When reporting an issue, include the URL, device, browser, preset, telemetry screenshot or copied witness JSON, and a short description of lighting and orientation.
For alpha testing, use the linked witness checklist and send the copied witness JSON or telemetry screenshot through the private tester channel provided with your invite. A public support form is still a launch gate.
Not for safety-critical use
Do not use HandPiano for medical, safety-critical, child-supervision, or professional training decisions. It is an experimental musical interface.
Read the Known Limits page before using HandPiano for testing or outreach.
